War in Ukraine
March 8th 2022
Russia has invaded Ukraine. Last nite Putin and the Russian Federation launched an unprovoked military attack on a peaceful, democratic country in the middle of Europe. The attacks came by land, sea, and air all across the country, with reports of civilian casualties. Surreal, senseless, and satanic.
As you read this, thousands of Ukrainian families are on the run. We have long predicted this invasion will lead to a continent-wide humanitarian crisis across Europe as displaced people pour into Poland and other countries to escape the violence in Ukraine. It is now happening before our very eyes.
Most of our church partners have already set up space in their churches to house refugees. Many will live in the homes of church members despite the continuing presence of Covid and the havoc it is still causing in Eastern Europe.
So many of you in our HART Community have called or written us asking how you can help. Here's how you can make a difference:

OUR RESPONSE:
HART and our church partners in Western Ukraine have been quietly preparing for a worst-case scenario in the weeks preceding the invasion. These displaced families will need temporary shelter, food, water, and other essentials to survive. Most of our church partners have already set up space in their churches to house refugees. So many of you in our HART Community have called or written us asking how you can help. Here's how you can make a difference:
1. PRAY.
People are shocked and scared. No one knows how long this war will continue or if they'll ever be able to return home. Please pause whatever you are doing today and spend some time praying for the people of Ukraine.2. GIVE.
If you feel led to support our Refugee Fund, your donations will provide food, water, shelter, and other essentials for these displaced persons through our extensive network of Ukrainian churches. You will help meet their most urgent physical needs and will show them the love of Christ through a local church.Click to close
